Well Hello There! :D

Wooow. It's been a REALLY long time since I posted a journal. I think my last on was in September...

.....*checking to see what I wrote on my last journal* Ah! I remember what I have to catch you guys up on.

Alrighty, so in the last journal I talked about my classes. The semester ended January 17th. RIGHT AFTER MY BIRTHDAY! But we'll get to that later. So turns out I really hated AP Psych. And I knew it too. It just didn't interest me. We ALWAYS had to read in the book and I'd procrastinate it until the last night. I'd always fail all the test because of that. I still wonder how I passed with an A... My web page design class was pretty fun. I liked being able to make websites and stuff. Interior Design was pretty fun. Umm... That's all I care to say about those classes.

OOH! I had a veterinary internship for 2 periods. I FREAKING LOVED IT! I love that I got to go over to the clinic during school and for 3 hours, I got to help around the clinic. They let me hold the cats and dogs. I even got to prep the animals for surgery. I really like watching the surgeries. I handled the blood a lot better than I thought I would have.

OOH! So my favorite day at the clinic had to be my most exciting one. (READ AT YOUR OWN RISK) I got into the clinic and Dr. Lopez (my mentor) and the staff are talking. He tells me about a call he got to go see a horse that had a broken leg. He tells me that he and I we're gonna go and check it out. We grab some supplies and head out to the farm. We're chatting as we go and about 30 mins or so later, we get up to the farm.

The horse owner is talking to Dr. Lopez while I'm gazing around. As I'm looking around, I see something red in the snow and immediately think it's blood. What the hell? I shake off the thought but as we got closer, there's a whole bunch more red. Now I know it's blood and I'm looking around to see where it's coming from. I can't find the horse until the owner takes us up there and I see where the blood is coming from.

This horse broke its hind leg at the joint where the hoof and the leg meet. The hoof is hanging backward and the poor horse is standing on the bone. In my mind I'm freaking out. HOW IN THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN?! WHAT! THAT POOR HORSE! but on the outside, I keep my composure for the owner's sake as well as my own.

I already knew that we had to euthanize the horse but I didn't know why. That broken leg would do the trick. Anyway, I had to help Dr. Lopez put the catheter in the horses neck. We were trying to get the horse to lay down but it didn't want to. We finally got the euthanasia into the horse. The horse stood up for a moment and it swayed and then it just fell to its side. I could literally see the life flow out of it. It was sad but it was more interesting than sad, even if that makes me sound like an jerk.

So now my internship is over along with the internship. BUT! On the last day HE OFFERED ME A JOB! So now I work there 2 hours a day for 8 dollars an hour. Not bad at all. It makes me happy. I just love it so much!

Well, I did have a job before that. I used to work at Toys R Us. It was super fun! I was a cashier! I really liked it. I'm not a people person but I am extremely friendly. Lots of people would come to me and tell me now nice I was and I had a nice smile. That always makes me feel good.

So it was nearly Christmas and I walked into Toys R Us as a customer and I asked my manager for my schedule. She goes into her office and comes back out with a "thank you for all your hard work" letter. Turns out I was just seasonal. I seriously felt like I got fired. Then I went to go say my goodbyes to all my co-worker friends. I ran into the head manager, the head of the store and the one that hired me. She told me that she didn't want to let me go but since I was a minor, she had to. She said I was just amazing and I was suck a hard worker and I was so friendly and just a great person. She said to call her when I turn 18.

MY BIRTHDAY WAS JANUARY 16th AND NOW IM 18!!! Woot! :woot:

I had a small party at my house with my closest buddies. Then we went to the movies and I invited a bunch more people to join us there. We saw the Legend of Hercules. It was pretty awesome! The I took my two buddies back home with me and they spent the night with me. It was pretty fun!

That's pretty much life wise...

Umm..Let's see. What else...?

Well, I plan to do more drawing. I need to improve. I want to learn shading better. My shading sucks so horribly bad. If anyone has any good tutorials on shading, I would be so happy if you could share them with me! Background tutorials would be awesome too.
